Discussion
Ken:
Wow, it’s raining so hard. It’s so hard to commute in this rainy season. So, Ema, you were talking with George about an accounting advisor the other day. Is it different from an accounting auditor or an auditor?

Emma:
Yes, they are similar, but they are in fact different organizations. An accounting advisor prepares balance sheets and other financial documents with directors, stores them separately from the company, and discloses them to shareholders and creditors if necessary. As you know, a company that has a board of directors must appoint an auditor, but if it appoints an accounting advisor, it is not required to appoint an auditor in principle.

George:
Auditors and accounting auditors check directors’ duties and financial statements, while an accounting advisor works with directors to prepare financial statements. Also, the company can appoint its tax advisor who prepares tax returns as an accounting advisor. By doing this, the company can create a cost-effective organizational structure.
