【Area Introduction: Nagoya】The nation’s leader in automotive and aerospace industries!
Nagoya is the capital city of Aichi Prefecture, located in the center of Japan, and it has grown to be the central city of the Chukyo Economic Zone.
It has great access to other major cities in Japan and overseas. Nagoya, especially the area around Nagoya Station, is now undergoing redevelopment by leveraging local characteristics effectively. Nagoya is now accelerating its growth to the future.
Nagoya, where people, towns, and business continue to grow, will be the perfect location to unleash your business potential and supercharge your business growth.

1. The heart of the world’s leading automotive and aerospace industry clusters
Aichi Prefecture including Nagoya City has boasted the highest shipments of manufacturing goods in Japan for 45 consecutive years since 1977, where numerous automotive-related companies including the world’s leading auto manufacturers are currently active.
In addition, the Chube region centering around Aichi Prefecture produces about 50% of Japan’s aircraft parts, and it is designated as one of the International Strategic Zones, the “Special Zone to Create Asia’s No.1 Aerospace Industrial Cluster.”
Nagoya is home to the automotive and aerospace industries and has been thriving as a powerful “Monozukuri” (creating the products of value) city.

2. Nagoya, Center of Japan, has great access to all locations in Japan and overseas
Located in the center of Japan, Nagoya has a population of about 2.3 million and is the central city of the Chukyo Economic Region.
It has great access to major cities in Japan, about 90 minutes to Tokyo and about 50 minutes to Osaka by Shinkansen, and there are also direct flights from Chubu Centrair International Airport (Centrair) to major destinations in Asia such as China and Southeast Asia.
In addition, the partial opening of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen will enable you to travel between Tokyo and Nagoya in about 40 minutes. With the entire opening to Osaka, it will connect the three major cities (Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka) in about an hour. This will form the world’s largest economic zone of 70 million people (Super Megaregion), and Nagoya will function as its node.

3. Nagoya is always evolving. We will continue to develop as the center of the Chube region.
① “Meieki Area,” the gateway to Nagoya
Nagoya Station is easily accessible to Tokyo and Osaka, and more than one million people are using this terminal every day. In addition, you can fly directly to the world from Chubu Centrair International Airport. In preparation for the opening of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen in 2027, Meieki Area centered around the station has been rapidly undergoing redevelopment. Together with the redevelopment project of the Meitetsu Station building that will span 400-meters from north to south, this area including hotels, office buildings, and commercial facilities will be greatly transformed.
② “Sakae Area,” the commercial center of Nagoya
This is a representative commercial area in Nagoya. Not only long-established department stores but also many attractive restaurants and entertainment facilities are gathered in this area. A large-scale park has been redesigned, and old commercial facilities and offices buildings have been renovated to new high-rise buildings. Conrad Nagoya will be scheduled to open in this area soon. We will proactively create a city where greens and urbanization collaborate comfortably.
